The little village of Han sur Lesse is the gateway to the Ardennes and one hour driving from Brussels. The cave of Han are one of the most famous caves in Europe. It is exceptional in terms of beauty and the immensity of its chambers and fashioned by the river Lesse that flows through it from one side to the other. It has welcomed more than 20 million visitors for over 250 years.

Work:

Tasks of the volunteer: 

Watch over the path, while walking and observing the visitors in order to guide and help them. 
To prevent the visitors from leaving the path and venturing in another part of the reserve.
To ensure that the visitors do not damage equipment or harm the animals and that they do not adopt dangerous behaviours (like to pass their hand through the enclosures) and do not disturb the path (noise, garbage,...)
To be in charge of activities and give information along the path: inform the visitors on practical question and provide further information concerning the animals and the nature to the visitors.
To ensure the maintenance of the path 
To organize the pick up of visitors by the safari bus

Accomodation:

The volunteer will be hosted in a volunteering house. They will share a 4 or 6 bedrooms with facilities. Sheets and washing machine are provided. 
Wifi
Lunch is provided but the volunteer is responsible for his breakfast and meal (5-10€/jour). The volunteers do the food shopping together.

Location:

250 hectare park of unspoilt nature 
Contemplate the fauna and the natural environement (wolves, lynx, bears,...)
Massif de Boine
Archeological objects (places of cult and pilgrimage)

Requirement:

Good level in French. English, German and Dutch appreciated. 

Working hours: 

10am-6pm, 5 days a week

The volunteer like animating people, being outgoing and able to provide information. He has to show authority towards the visitors when its necessary. And love nature and animals.
